It is an immense pleasure to be a part of the Kawartha Therapeutic team. From the moment I met Dr. Carney and his team, I knew that they placed an enormous priority on providing high quality care and exceptional customer service. I knew I wanted to be a part of this team as these are the same principles that I aspire to as health care professional. As a team, we place a high priority on delivering excellent service and work hard to do so. I am an individual that thrives on being challenged, complementing an active, healthy lifestyle, and striking a quality work-life balance.

I’ve had the opportunity to work side-by-side with Dr. Carney previously, and we share the common ground of always seeking best evidence-based practices. Having multiple healthcare disciplines under one roof, all working together, sharing ideas and expertise, is an amazing thing. I’m proud to be a part of it.

Improving the quality of living of my clients is my passion. I am dedicated to working with clients to ensure that pain, and immobility/dysfunction does not hinder them from pursuing their passions and an active lifestyle. There is nothing better than seeing a client walk out of the clinic better than when he/she had walked in. This is immensely satisfying to me, as a physiotherapist. The team at KTC and I share this same passion and this is one of the reasons why I look forward to coming to work here every day.

We are client centered in our approach, and work hard to better ourselves through continued learning. We are proud of the services we offer. I feel very lucky to be a part of this excellent, diverse health care team that is as dedicated and committed to excellent care as I am.

About Me

I earned my degree in Physiotherapy in 2009 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and I worked in Mumbai, India for 3 years in various health care settings. I gained valuable experience in multiple settings: hospital care, neurological rehabilitation, and multiple elite soccer teams. It was while working with sports teams when I realized that my main interest was in working with individuals with musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

I arrived in Canada in 2012 to pursue further studies, and in 2014 I became licensed to work as Physiotherapist in Ontario. Since then I have worked in the GTA area, and in Norfolk County before joining KTC.

I am committed to keeping up with the newest evidence in my field and am constantly taking professional development courses to further grow as a healthcare professional. I have successfully completed additional courses in manual therapy techniques, myofascial release techniques, spinal manipulation, and selective functional movement assessment (SFMA).

I am in the process of completing the acupuncture levels with Acupuncture Canada.

My aim is to regularly upgrade my skills through continuing education, and as such, become a better clinician each day, each year.

My approach to assessment and treatment is to not JUST get rid of pain, but more importantly, to understand the source and cause of pain and dysfunction, and work to correct it.
