COVID-19 Reopening Plan and Procedures
Below is our updated policies and procedures relating to COVID-19. We are confident that our plan is not only compliant with all government regulations, but that we have additional measures in place to make sure that we all are safe.
The details of some of our protective measures are outlined below and may continue to evolve as necessary to ensure the we do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. While some of these policies may seem strange and inconvenient at first, we believe they strengthen us, and help ensure that we all have a safe environment to work in, and receive therapy in.
Cleaning and sanitation:
- Cleaning and disinfecting agents are being used rigorously before and after client interaction in every treatment room, on tables, chairs, any equipment, etc
- Likewise, common areas and high touch areas such as the front desk, bathroom, door knobs, countertops, pens, clipboards, debit machine are being sanitized after each usage and throughout the day
- Magazines, toys, pamphlets and the water cooler have been temporarily removed
- Everyone in the office – staff AND clients, are to wear masks. Clients can bring their own mask, or purchase one from us for $2.00. Either way, they must be worn
- Therapists will wash their hands before and after each treatment/interaction with clients
- Clients are asked to use hand sanitizer when they enter the clinic, and after therapy
- We are trying to minimize bathroom use. In other words, if you can go before you come to the office, that would be ideal. If not, don’t worry – it’s still available
Social distancing and Maintaining Safe Space
- We are requiring clients to wait in their cars until they are called into the building by staff
- We have removed all chairs in the waiting rooms except for one
- There will be no accompanying visitors (spouses, friends, family) allowed to enter the building. A few exceptions related to caregivers may be allowed
- Appointment times are being spaced out, and staggered between therapists, to minimize the amount of people in the clinic at one time
- Virtual therapy is available for clients that require attention/assistance, but are unable to attend in-person treatments
- An additional exit will be used for some clientele (physio, exercise/personal training)
- A plexiglass barrier has been installed at the front desk to ensure future bookings are done in a safe manner
- Direct billing and touchless payment options are available
- Statements are being e-mailed rather than using paper statements where possible
Screening
- All clients will be pre-screened prior to their appointment and upon entering the clinic. Screening tools will be administered both verbally and via written/e-mailed questionnaire
- All staff will be required to be screened prior to each shift
